The Most Familiar Stranger: The Story of Kris & Tao

What does it mean by brothers? The members of EXO gave many answers: a person who you can count on, someone who would always by your side, someone who is as important as your family… and lots but what really happened, we fans all knew.

One of the members, Kris had suddenly left the team just one week before the world tour and also without any signals. As we fans can tell, all of the members were sad about it but I can say that Tao definitely has the most inner struggle , as Kris is an important person to him.

Time goes back to 2012 ,when EXO first came out, 19 years old Tao admired 21 years old Kris a lot, just like what he said, “I want to be like Kris when I was 21.”On the other hand, Kris treat Tao like his little brother, so Tao relied on him very much.

It seems to be a happy story, but all stops on the day. Kris suddenly left. Tao was angry and shocked, he just couldn’t believe what happened , he thought they would be together, just like they said we are one. But what really happened ruined his fantasy and the one who left, is the one who he relied on.

As time flies , at 2015 0202 he accidently got hurt during a show, which injured his ankle but he didn't say anything. As the work keep going on, his injure got serious.Finally, on 22nd April,2015 his father decided to stop his contract and sent him to US for healing, when this happened , his 21. He finished his promise.      

As he try to ask for Kris apologize but Kris didn’t seem to forgive him. It seems like their relationship stop because of the thing which happens in 2014 but I don’t think so. In their lyrics written by their own, you can found many similar points like their story.

“From now on, you won’t have me stand by you to the end, release my hands ,my heart will feel better.” 从此以后~Kris

“Please look back, please look at me, the time where we were young, the most unforgettable thing, the 19th midsummer.” 十九岁~Tao

But what really happens to them, what they really think, what’s happening next, will all be their own decision. Which I don’t know.(Based on True Story)
